YES on Measure E

Result – Passed!

A majority of San Jose voters said YES to homeless prevention and funding permanent and affordable rental housing through a real property transfer tax by a margin of 53% to 47%.

YES on Measure J

Result – Loss

A majority of San Jose voters said YES by a margin of 52% to 48% to a bond for the East Side Union High School District to purchase land and construct affordable housing for educators. However, this bond measure requires 55% for passage. This result matches region-wide voter hesitancy to take on additional public debt due to fear of an economic downturn.
